A space we made for stay.

Taguan began during the pandemic in the Philippines.

In a time of uncertainty, it started as a personal decision to leave Metro Manila and move to the mountains of Baguio. A return to slower days, quieter streets, and a different rhythm of living. It was there, tucked inside a restaurant, that the first Taguan took shape. A modest café corner built around comfort, familiarity, and building communities.

That first space wasn’t big, but it was intentional.

It became a place to pause, to talk, and to find small moments of normalcy during a time when very little felt certain.

In 2023, we brought that same idea with us to Sydney.

Taguan Sydney was born from settling into a new city and building a life here together. The café became a continuation of the original hideaway shaped by memory, routine, and the comforts we carried with us. The food remained personal, the pace unhurried, and the space open to anyone looking for somewhere to feel at ease.

Today, Taguan exists as both a café and a gathering place.

Downstairs is for everyday visits - coffee, meals, and quiet moments. Upstairs is reserved for more intimate gatherings, shared tables, and special occasions.

From Baguio to Sydney, Taguan has always been about creating spaces that feel lived in. A hideaway, but never a closed one.

Everyone is welcome.
